Cliff Robinson, Jr., MD, FAAFP
Chief of Staff
Mr. Robinson was appointed Chief of Staff at Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System effective June 23, 2005.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Robinson served as the Associate Chief of Staff for Primary Care at the facility. Dr. Robinson began his career with the Department of Veterans Affairs in 1988 as a Staff Physician in charge of Ambulatory Care at the Montgomery VA Medical Center and was promoted to Chief of the Clinical Ambulatory Care Section at the facility in 1990.
In 1994, Dr. Robinson became the Associate Chief of Staff for Ambulatory Care at Tuskegee VA Medical Center, which was consolidated in 1997 with Montgomery VA Medical Center to form, Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS). In 1996 Dr. Robinson was appointed Acting Primary Care Service Line Manager at CAVHCS. Dr. Robinson also became the Physician-in- Charge at the Columbus-Based Outpatient Clinic in Columbus, Georgia in 1993 Dr. Robinson received board certification from the Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice and board certification from the American Board of Family Practice in 1984.
In addition, Dr. Robinson is a member of the VISN 7 Planning Board, V!ISN 7 Network Planning Board Subcommittee, Eligibility Reform impact, VISN 7 Primary Care Service Line Council, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Chairperson of the CML Committee and the CAVHCS Executive Committee.
